A Plex lifetime pass. A 2TB SSD. A webcam. Things I was going to get regardless, so these actually represent savings.

I shoulda looked for mom jeans and sneakers, too. Guess it's not too late...

Yeesh. A 2 TB SSD. That's a thing? Apparently, yes, $339 at Amazon.
Yep, I was also surprised when I saw how cheaply I could get a good one for. The next time I build a system a good sized SSD is on my todo list and a HDD will only be for backups.

My Black Friday was mostly binging lots of Horrible Histories episodes.

I picked up the Alexa, too, as a gift for a family member. She's getting up there and has a subscription to Amazon Music as well as a ton of books from them so she can use the Alexa to listen.

Most retailers over here organized a Black Friday weekend and some even a whole week.
Yeah, I'm so happy. :censored:

I don't care that they do so, whatever floats their boats, but the tons of advertisement.... bleh.

That's what I did with my new PC build I mentioned up-thread. 1 TB SSD for the OS and software installations, 4TB spinning rust drive for bulk data storage.

My iMac had an HDD in it ..... but a usb3. So I hooked up a 1/2 T enterprise SSD off the USB3 as my boot drive and use the HDD for mostly static data.

I have SSDs in all of the computers and laptops in the house except for my file server. Still have spinning rust in there, along with an external HDD for backups.

As for the person who snagged a 2TB SSD, I am officially jelly now.

I hardly use 200gb of storage.... 2TB for me would be so overkill :p

My replacement toothbrush made it to town at 11am yesterday and was supposed to be delivered before 9pm, but instead showed up at 6:47 this morning. This is the second time in as many weeks that something similar has happened, so I'm wondering if local USPS has not hired enough temporary help for the holidays. 🤔

I was expecting a package to be delivered, but the post office said they could not deliver due to "animal interference." Our cats may look fierce, but they are unlikely to attack through a window, as they are indoors and the mail box is outside.

Maybe a tiger or two escaped in the neighborhood?
