To show how fucked up the U.S. political situation is, as a comparison:The FAA's TFR, or Temporary Flight Restriction, that was put up over Biden's home in Delaware on Wednesday morning has been upgraded to an NDZ, or National Defense Zone, like that over Washington DC and Trump Tower in New York.
The U.S. is now in situation where 100% of a state's polling precincts can be finished counting and the vote still not called thanks to the legions of mail-in voters. We're gonna need to start drinking early.
In the long run a few thousand votes either way isn't important. It's the long-term trend that as Atlanta grows, the state is trending more liberal. The governor won two years ago time by 1.4% doing his best to cheat. This time it's essentially a draw. Next time we will be more blue. Trump won Texas by 9% last time, this time by about 6%. It's another growing southern state with several large cities. Those two states are 52 electoral votes (pre-redistricting).463 and less than 50,000 votes left to count.(Edit: Biden is now ahead by 917)
There will be a recount, that's for sure. The cutoff in Georgia is 1% and there is no way either candidate will win by a margin that big.
In the U.S. people are flocking to the Right because it's promising to take away their healthcare, social security, education and leave them vulnerable to the pandemic. I have to admit, that's such a persuasive and appealing agenda that the Left really can't compete.
Left vs Right is a distraction to keep us from noticing the real divide is Rich vs Everyone Else. Murdoch's media empire isn't run by an average person, he's worth something like $17 billion. Fox News and Trump enabled a trillion dollar tax cut for the rich, and in return Trump could get away with paying $750 in federal taxes the last couple of years. He could do that because the tax laws are set up to favor the rich. Warren Buffet, one of the richest people in the world, pays less in taxes as a percentage than his secretary. It really seems like the "divide and conquer" strategy at work.
Speaking of comparisons:To show how fucked up the U.S. political situation is, as a comparison:
That video starts so somber and dark, and then the last two minutes will make you smile.
I grumpy catted this because we have enough in Florida already. Please, send them off planet, maybe the Vogons will take them? Read them poetry or something?

His lead on Wednesday was 7K, then Thursday it was 14K, now 21K. Biden scoring Touchdowns daily in Nevada.Nevada has finally decided to (stretch, yawn) cruuuuuuuise on back to the place and start counting votes again, and Biden's lead there has jumped to 22k.
Starting to feel like I might be able to breathe out soon. I've been holding my breath essentially for days now.Nevada has finally decided to (stretch, yawn) cruuuuuuuise on back to the place and start counting votes again, and Biden's lead there has jumped to 22k.
Something for the Raiders to aspire to.His lead on Wednesday was 7K, then Thursday it was 14K, now 21K. Biden scoring Touchdowns daily in Nevada.
