The craft workers who do the bulk of the work (set builders, location drivers, etc.) aren't necessarily liberal. Trilith Studios, where half the Marvel films are shot, is in a R-leaning area. So are the Walking Dead franchise and Stranger Things. The directors and stars may be flaming commies, but they are a tiny fraction of the workforce, and may not even live here.

As I said, they see as liberal. The right thinks of tribes and assume everyone in a particular industry or group is part of that tribe and follows whatever line of thinking they assume their enemies follow. Not deep thinkers for the most part.
