Now to find a way to maintain the encouragement through 2020. And beyond.

Stuffed Trump toys for xmas gifts for the next few years?
I think we need to realize this is going to be a very long term battle. And it’s not like it’s not the same battle we have waged from the beginning, it’s just that it has become so stark.

So anyway, we have to pace ourselves. And we have to look for the silver linings.

I'm hoping beyond hope that Trump's term will result in the immediate death of our two party system. My votes this morning were for Democrats, Independents, and Republicans based on research and personal belief that they, individually, best filled the ticket. It's doubtful that I'll ever support a single party again because that's a stupidly limited way for us to operate the Republic.

There are only two ways to pull the US out of the present "two party" system: Long Haul and Short Haul.

The first requires cooperation on every level of government while working against/through pushback.

The second will likely require violence, bloodshed and an enormous amount of luck.

I am just worried what will happen when donnie eventually has to give up the presidency, no matter what form that takes. No matter how bitter politics has been we have always had a civil handover but I would not bet on it this time. What happens if the current occupant of 1600 penn refuses to leave? Do people have to physically drag him out? If so, you just KNOW his deplorables will stick up for him .... which will lead to civil war part 2. This time both sides will have much deadlier weapons than before too.

Being in Alabama, you should how hard people worked to not have Roy Moore in the Senate.
You should know that the last time within almost 30 years that Alabama elected a Senator that wasn't a Republican, he switched to Republican Party 2 years after he was elected.
You should be one of the least likely US residents complaining about a 2 party system when your state has lived under control of only 1 party for so many years. Maybe you should figure out how to break out of one-party rule first.

In the meantime, go ahead and pretend you're morally superior or smarter having no problem voting for Republicans.

He’s already said he would like to be president for life, like some of his bffs. However, being president so far has evidently not been very good for business, so I am hoping he will just quit (or die).
