the fact that Russia has air superiority and not Ukraine
This is propaganda. russia doesn't have air superiority over the Ukrainian skies. The skies have been contested throughout the entire length of the war. What you just said is both extremely foolish and suggests that you have absolutely no fucking idea what you are talking about. Иди нахуй.

Here's a list of destroyed aircraft, provided by and constantly updated by Oryx. Each loss listed on this site is supported through some kind of evidence. If they don't have some kind of evidence, they don't list it. This paints a picture of a contested sky, as both the invader and the defender have lost aircraft. It is downright impossible to invade another country, suffer a loss of over 200 aircraft, and claim to control the sky. Period.

Oh propaganda? Quite obviously you have no idea what YOU are talking about.

This here is an article from mid of July 2024, where the leader of the Ukraine joint staff of the German DoD, Generalmajor Christian Freuding, is discussing what is required to break Russia's air supremacy over Ukraine.

In other words this military expert from a country supporting Ukraine clearly states that by then Russia had air supremacy. The report by the way is from a German public broadcasting service.

So if in doubt like here I trust the expertise of that man with access of high level classified intelligence reports 100 times more than your ramblings.

And to reply to your insult "Иди нахуй." and give it back - go fuck yourself. At least have the courtesy in an English spoken forum to insult in English, numbnuts.

It may be something lost in translation but if I understand right, Generalmajor Freuding is talking about aerial supreriority, not aerial supremacy. Those two terms are often confused but they do not mean the same thing.

Aerial superiority means that one side has the upper hand in the air but the other side is still able to defend itself from air attacks and also launch some themselves.

Aerial supremacy is when one side totally dominates the air. This is clearly not the case in Ukraine. You don't need imprecise gliding bombs or expensive balistic missiles if you have aerial supremacy, you just fly right over the target and drop good old fashioned and cheap "dumb" bombs onto it. And your own air defence will get seriously bored since there is nothing for them to shoot down.

You've moved from preaching about the morals of neutrality to outright promoting the kremlin narrative. Your anti-Ukrainian point of view has been noted and it is not appreciated.

Your article amounts to an opinion piece that lacks any quantifiable facts.

If russia controlled the sky they wouldn't have lost hundreds of aircraft.

The report by the way is from a German public broadcasting service.
State-sponsored media always amounts to propaganda.

Not necessarily. But what is entirely lost to your enraged brain is that this is a public service broadcasting company of the 2nd biggest supporter of Ukraine, namely Germany.

So now you are free to guess in which way such an entity normaly would rigg reports, pro or anti Ukraine, if the state would influence it.

I think it's an idiotic piece of state-sponsored German media that presents a half-baked opinion without evidence. I believe the German military official has his heart in the right place and wants to raise public support for Ukraine in Germany but doesn't know his head from his ass or fully understand what he is talking about. There's nothing enraging about it. It's just plain wrong for reasons I have already explained and you have blantaly ignored. Your article is also directed toward German speakers, and therefore caters to their perspective, which is not a perspective I share, as I believe the current German government has no balls and prioritizes avoiding confrontation with russia at all costs.

I was honestly surprised Ukraine allowed this to go on for so long.

I should add that it's not the article here that is important so much as the looming deadline. In response, russian gaslighting and propaganda surrounding this subject is completely unhinged. The best piece of bullshit I found related to this on TASS reads:
However, a number of Ukrainian and Western media outlets wrote that transit schemes are possible, under which European countries will buy gas from Russia even before it is sent to the consumer, so that formally it will no longer be Russian gas that will flow through Ukrainian territory.
Sourced from this: Ukraine's refusal to transit Russian gas will hit EU economies hard — French expert

I don't think Ukraine is going to let that kind of nonsense fly.

I'm pretty sure this is representative of ALL German governments since the end of World War II. They were on the front lines for 45 years until the Soviet Union collapsed, and they've been gun-shy for various reasons.

And for those very reasons, German aggression could be directed against the russians to great effect.

Do the Germans have a word to say in that matter? If so there's an election coming up...

Look, after losing 2 world wars and half of Germany bombed into oblivion during WWII with handing over 1/3 of the country over to Poland most Germans have lost their love for playing war since generations. And this is something which will not change very soon, because one of the morales learned from that engrained into the society is never doing wrong again. And never again war.

The other extreme is Israel: never being a victim again.
