THE Ohio State Blues

Yesterday was a dark day in our house. Ohio was creamed by Michigan in a devastating game. My wife blames the coaching.

When I was in high school in Ohio I didn't personally follow football but obviously this particular game was a super huge deal for most. My psych teacher might have been the only teacher in the whole building who supported Michigan, and each year on game day some other teachers would absolutely festoon his classroom with red and white balloons, streamers, just everything, lol.

A couple of years I decided to wear blue on this day just to poke at my friends who were seriously into it. I like you though so I won't do anything like that.

We are a hospital and football franchise with a side hustle in education.

But yes, Columbus is decked out in mourning today. Even after the countless hours our students spent covering every letter "M" on the signage on campus with a red tape X, we still lost. Many students say they didn't cover enough M's and that was why.

I appreciate the sentiment, but I'm only in this for Mrs. Beebo. I don't even follow my own alma mater, the Texas Longhorns.

Same! I don't give a rats behind about football, but this game has had quite an effect on a few good friends... I was at a party with a bunch of MI state Alumni during the game and I'm still close to an ex who is team OH.

I asked Mrs. Beebo what she would do if I were a Michigan fan, and without hesitation she shot back, "Not a problem because I would never marry a Michigan fan." She was dead serious, too!

And that sentiment has been around a LOT longer than the "I would never marry a Republican" one has been lol. These people take this particular game very, very seriously. Michigan fans do the same, but I can't be convinced it's as bad as OSU fans.
