In an interview with EW, showrunner Jon Favreau shared new details on season two of The Mandalorian, which is set to come out next month. Favreau said the first season was focused on introducing the characters and the world they inhabit, which takes place five years after the fall of the Empire in Return of the Jedi. Now that the cards have been drawn, the throughline of season two is about “introducing a larger story in the world,” one that compels all our heroes and villains to choose a side. Not only will this expand the story of the Mandalorian and his baby, but it will also give other characters larger storylines (Favreau cited Game of Thrones as inspiration...for better or worse).

Season 2 starts on October 30!

Show is now going to go the "Game of Thrones" route. mmokay. It's a show about bounty hunters, so having every third character die seems to fit, I suppose. Sad that there's now going to be about 5 years between each season. Not sure how they are going to fit incest into it - wait, I know, it's accidental incest, since they know fuck all about their parents and their parents offspring (see: Luke kissing Leia action, eh?). Hmm. nudity. Dude never takes off his armor, except for that one time, maybe a lingering look at his helmetless head will be the stand-in for the massive oodles of nudity GoT was known for. Main dude has this 'droid' thing, so maybe there can be this 'white-walker' type droid he has to fear or fight, or whatever.
