Unformed thought: "We're whole humans here, not focused humans."

The sequel will probably be better.

There sure are a lot of them here :)
Not it.

In High School I literally identified as Communist.

If anything I have become "more Conservative" as I got older, because I am more "Socialist" to "Democratic Socialist" these days.

well i can make a prediction for the future : sure traffic on this forum will peak til end 2024, but then 2025 you will all be surprised that it's TOTALLY QUIET on this forum, because elections will be over, but interesting people chatting about 3D worlds will have left. That's how you kill a forum.
You're coming in as the clueless new person. Nobody cares about your uninformed opinions. This is mostly a traditional forum where people know eachother, not like reddit where people come and go so rapidly. And we have no obligation to censor topics to help you feel more comfortable as the stranger. Your posts have the energy of the new guy in a sim who expects to take over on day one.

Well, there you go posting your political stuff in a thread named "The 2024 Presidential Race" in the PRS forum.

Have a little respect, man, we just lost ......... *scrolls up -- goes to the previous page -- goes back to this page -- scrolls down* Sanduro (?) over just this sort of thing. Maybe a little period of mourning, huh?

Okay, that's plenty.

I have a confession to make: I wasn't all that sold on Kamala Harris back in 2020. She didn't make much of an impression on me as a presidential candidate, although I had liked a few clips of her suffer-no-fools in Senate hearings. Didn't hear much about her as VP, but I was a bit turned off by the chatter about her high and frequent office staff turn-over.

So that's the background context leading up to Biden's departure. I was not a promising candidate to the "Come to Kamala" moment, right? And yet....

Now I can't get enough of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. I am absolutely onboard with them both, happily watching their rally speeches, hooting and shouting along with the crowds. Harris won me over completely the first time I heard her speak at the Biden HQ. I knew nothing about Tim Walz, other than he was a governor somewhere, and now I think he's the bee's knees.

What witchery is this?

I can say the same, Beebo. I was a firm Bernie believer up to the point when Biden started winning primaries. I wasn't a firm Biden believer until he actually beat Trump and started implementing his economic plan.

At first, I staunchly opposed the move by some Dems to push Biden aside. But while the debate didn't change my mind, I found his age unavoidable after observing Joe over many speeches and interviews. The very fact that he was wise and empathetic enough to sacrifice his own power for the good of the country makes me a firmer Biden fan, but more so a Kamala fan.

I'm having a hard time restraining my enthusiasm right now. I've witnessed enough elections to know that *something* negative will happen soon. I feel like a trauma victim always expecting the next blow to land. But damn, look at all the JOY!!!!

I'm so glad you posted this -- watching Kamala I was really thinking, "Am I losing my mind? Was she like this when she was a candidate?"

Donald Trump posted an AI Video of him and Elon dancing to Stayin' Alive... Whatever happened to "Anyone using AI in an election should be disqualified."

"If it looks positive, it's about me and is good. If it looks negative it's about you and is bad. That way I remain a hero and flawless in my own mind in a permanent absolution of all flaws."

Also see Elon's fixation with a medium easy civ knock off game where he is Always a Winner.

thanks but i'll pass. i'll let the US people dig their own grave, who they elect is their problem, i'm from Europe.
If you're from Europe, then you should know that "American left-wing politics" are actually centrist or moderately conservative over here.

I had the suspicion they meant Saint Petersberg.
