Why do vendors put demos into a folder with an object inside that you have to use to then get a folder of the actual demo? Why not give the actual fucking demo folder in the first place? It is so lazy.

Also, why do vendors still make stuff you have to rez on the ground to open? It is so pointless - make a damn hud that gives you the folder, or better yet, give the fucking folder in the first place.

Habit, limited scripting knowledge ("it worked in 2015 and it still works now"), and with perms being so funky once you establish a workflow you're hesitant to change things out partly from limited knowledge and partly because by the time you're packing things up YOU JUST WANT IT DONE AND OVER WITH. Going off the reservation with a new workflow also commits you to at least two hours of super paranoid testing to make sure you haven't messed up permissions and everything else, which just isn't a lot of fun.

Because they hate us, and it's the way they've been doing it, so they keep on doing it.
