This might sound a bit crazy, but I think Twitter and similar social media sites should just make a darkweb portal to their sites, rather than begging despots to play nice. Same goes for Google. Stop fucking around with the CCP, and Modi, and build something they can't censor.

Then you have to worry about advertisers who are close to Modi and the CCP leaving, I guess. If these despots are going to censor you anyway, though, then you can't reach those customers for your advertisers, whether you play nice with the despots or not, so there's really nothing to lose with a darknet strategy.
