You lucky Yankees.

SL20B Sweepstakes
Visit the SL20B welcome area and look for the National and Global contest kiosks to win one of many huge prizes! U.S. residents can win a brand new Chevrolet Bolt EV car or a high-end ASUS computer. Global community members can win a 1- Year Premium Subscription – we’ll give away one per day during the celebrations!

Teleport here.

At the moment it takes a lot of time to enter completion. Only two terminals available (national and international). Constant buzy. So I guess manage to enter the speepstakes is a price on itself.

Yes, I made it into the global sweepstakes.
I guess I can't apply for the national one.
One has to confirm that one enters with ones main avatar.

Crowded place, but one can see the car there and a cardboard Patch Linden. :D

Khamon looked around okay after turning complexity down to the minimum, facing a corner, and alt-camming to the kiosks.

While I was there, I met Free and I managed to fetch a 26 LI Linden bear. The one Philip Linden gave out back in the time. So a good day.
One can fetch these old type bears on Bears Island at SL20B.

I love collecting Linden Bears but the LInis so bad on them that I never do anything with them.

I only fetched a few historic and very nice ones. They really have too many LI to put them on display somewhere permanently.

If by some really strange quirk of nature I register for the car and win it, I'd have to sell it since I have no way to recharge it and can't afford to have a station installed in a place where I don't own the property. That's really not worth the hassle.

It would be a nice chunk of change though, wouldn't it?
27,000 and a few as starting price in the USA.

We could buy a decent used car and do some of the work on this place that it needs. But neither one of us would ever win. That's just how it goes for us.

Let's face it, chances to win a big price are very slim for everybody.
But, I still bought a ticket for an European lottery that has a jackpot of 120 million euro at the moment. There is a fool out there that is going to win it one of these weeks, why not me? 🙏

In NL we say: "Nooit geschoten is altijd mis". It is a hunting proverb meaning: When you don't risk a shot, you will always miss.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained is the English proverb.

Something like a car probably changes the dynamics a lot, but one thing I have learned after winning some raffles and being on the other side through work,

You would be surprised how few people enter contests. And every step involved, means a lot less people, on an almoat exponential level.

I think there will be more than 100,000 participants, but a lot will disqualify when they win, because of the non alt requirement. Who reads the rules, right?
Chances of winning that car are slim but a lot better than winning Powerball, I guess.

The winner will have to meet the qualifications and be able to pay for the taxes, the registration, possibly shipping, and, ideally, insurance.

Having the thing would actually cost us money just to park it at home. More than 2 vehicles will cost you $25US a month per extra vehicle. Not to mention tax, title and license plates fees, increased car insurance etc.

Some shots aren't worth risking homelessness on.

I don't plan to enter eith alta, but I wonder how they determine if its a main account or an alt account.

I think that LL has so much data on us that they easily can put 1+1 together in most cases, if they dig into it.
And they only have to research the main winners. Yeah, I think they can.

I read the rules, but I have no idea what they meant by "main". The first account I created? Not sure I have the login creditionals for that one (no, it isn't Lexxi). The one I'm on most often? Not certain. For a while there I was fifty-fifty with two accounts. One accidentally poofed, then I went fifty-fifty with two other accounts. So which of them would be my main?
