Schedules are so tight for airplanes these days, that there is hardly time for any extras for the cleaners and cabin maintenance.
Time is money. Very little spare planes available. If that slogan wasn't invented yet, the airliners and price fighters would have invented it by now.
Air France should have canceled one or two passengers on that plane though, to keep that seat empty.

One thing is for sure, after this, there is no way I will ever fly again for any reason.

The whole plane should have been decontaminated. I hope that poor man doesn't end up with Hepatitis or some other worse disease.

Boiled down: a student was sexually assualted off school grounds. A letter about the issue was given to a teacher. Over months other school staff were informed but did not inform proper authorities. Eventually Principal Edgecomb noted he did an investigation but didn't believe anything bad happened. Also he was punishing the accused for appearance sake. The principal also, eventually, reported the issue to the police.

The student attempted to kill themselves on a school trip.

During an Aug. 19, 2021, meeting involving school leaders, the principal allegedly said the student should have told her parents about the assault and her parents should have reported it.

This whole thing is a classic case of people, mainly men, not listening.

I have to do annual mandatory reporter training as aa University instructor. If I become aware of a student claiming to be assaulted, I am required to contact the University office immediately. It is not the role of faculty or administration to choose who to believe and when to report an incident. It is not our role to make judgements about an incident. It is our role to be supportive of students and to immediately report.

Unfortunately, it is not simply a case of men not listening. Those who did listen placed themselves in the role of deciding if the victim was "really" a victim and shielding the assailant. Not listening is passively ignoring the assault. They chose to actively ignore the report when they had a legal and moral duty to contact the District's designated officer.

They chose to actively ignore the report because they chose to not listen. They didn't want to hear it, so they took it upon themselves to be judge, jury and executioner just as the majority of males I have known and lived with for more than 60 years have done. Try to sweep it all under the rug. This is the kind of crap I had to deal with from my own family on a daily basis. The culprit got all the mental health care while the victim got nothing.

I use speak aloud. It's amazing how paywalls just hide content instead of writing over it.

It had questions, then a paywall for answers.

But the answere literally just, at the bottom of the page. Behind a bunch of ads and garbage. Not even hidden with code, just there in plain view if you scrolled to the bottom of a long web page.
