The severely limited number is annoying. Inmean, I guess I see why it can't just be a forever available for all thing, but yeah, 100 is so few, and even "dying SL" probably sold those out in a few minutes to a handful of popular store owners.

I was only joking about FIC. It is just a SL meme, but it describes nicely how some find themselves important in SL based on nothing in fact.
The Linden fan boys and girls for instance are obvious on the other forum.

But there will be people who polish their self importance by obtaining a premium plus lifetime, No doubt about that.
Just like they will love that the ranch theme is exclusively for premium plus too.

A lot of SL users hardly ever came out their college and high school routines IMHO.
Growing up to the more mature stages of life is harder than one thinks for some.

$749 is about 7.5 years of monthly premium. I'm not quite optimistic enough to say SL 28B is realistic enough to spill nearly a grand into. Hopefully the fine print includes an unconditional early termination refund. (>_<)

Ten years ago, I would have jumped at this offer, and ten years ago it would paid for itself by now. These days, however, I'm not convinced I'd get my money's worth before the platform closed, I lost interest, or I died.

Yeah.... I'd jump at this if I was totally confident SL would last this long. I think there is a high chance it will either die or be go through a major shake up that I'd hate.

With 100 slots available for the normal premium I would be totally surprised if they where still some unoccupied.

I don't know about Premium Plus that even had less slots available, because that is a nice chunk of cash upfront for a 'game' IMHO.

Not trying to nitpick but it was 200 Premiums and 20 Premium Plus lifetimes for a total of 220.

a)I wasn't there but I'd be very surprised if their wasn't a "favorite few" ie "FIC"; their always is.
b)"FIC" was being used as a self-applied title (I suspect ironically) as early as 2006. I could probably find photographic proof (I definately could if snapzilla still exisited -but it no longer does).

Eventually I thought of the list as “ you know who's“, “people I'm jealous of because they more popular and/or respected and/or influential than me“ list. He'd even put SL famous singers with no influence with LL on the list. For someone who was rabidly anti-communist, “you know who“ seemed to want to restrict LL's decisions in an anti capitalist way.

Personally, I was never FIC, or even near-FIC. I was only ever a groupie-of-FIC or known-to-a-few-FIC.

People might have suspected from my hinting and VVO avatar change that I gave my account an early 17th birthday present as well. Mine went through on the 28th. I can tell you I got my legacy L$500 stipend of the oldbie elite, ha!, earlier this week.
