Yup it replaces the "good"old jira.
Not that it will change much I guess. The same company and the same employees will be handling the incoming data.

It is at least a much more accessible system than Jira. In LL's defense, they do solicit all kinds of feedback from users. A lot of it happens in world. It is nice to have it consolidated in the way it is here, and to see them actually responding. Time will tell, but it is a step in the right direction.

The sequel will probably be better.

Yeah, I always hated Jira.

Jira always felt like it was something preferred by super nerdy "document everything" coder types, but it started being rolled out (not just in SL) as a public reporting/suggestion system.

Regular ass people don't want to deal with all that. They mostly just want to bitch and complain half the time.

and, to be fair, inworld discussion, office meetings, random gatherings, and one-on-one's, were generally ended with "file a JIRA for this to initiate the discussion globally" or "update the JIRA so that this point is added to the global discussion."

I agree, JIRA was an insult to end users. IMHO it was intended as a time killing/work avoidance strategy for agile programmers and this is where it should stay.
