The Duchess of Sussex has given birth to a boy, the Duke of Sussex has announced.

Prince Harry said they were "absolutely thrilled" and thanked the public for their support during the pregnancy.

He said Meghan and the baby were doing "incredibly well", adding that they were still thinking about names for the infant, who was delivered at 05:26 BST.

Buckingham Palace said the baby weighed 7lbs 3oz (3.2kg), and that the duke was present for the birth.

You would think that baby would be heavier and weigh more for how big she got. Anyone know if it was natural or c section baby?

He would have to give up all his titles, though. You automatically lose your US citizenship if you accept any foreign titles.

From what I understand the baby won't be HRH and won't get Prince title but he is 8th in line after Harry UNLESS (which I'm sure will happen) Kate and William have more babies will just move Harry and his son down the pecking order.

The baby can't be President because he wasn't born on US soil - wasn't that the big issue with John McCain and they finally decided a military base counts as US soil.

All you need is for one parent to be a citizen.
And that still doesn't change the necessity for the candidate for President to be born on US soil... the main reason there was the birther business. Being born outside the US would have disqualified Obama even though his mother was a US citizen and therefore so was he. There are a number of conditions to disqualify someone from being the President despite being a citizen of the US.

Though there are unique cases, military bases outside the US are generally not considered U.S. soil, that is they are not owned and operated like embassies.

In regards to McCain's right to run for the presidency, the U.S. Senate passed a resolution declaring him "eligible," but that wasn't actual law or a change to the Constitution. I know of one lawsuit against McCain's eligibility, but that was dismissed (for "lack of standing"). There was no "finally decided" except in the general opinion.

And as of yet, "being born outside the U.S." has not become one of them.

No. https://harvardlawreview.org/2015/03/on-the-meaning-of-natural-born-citizen/

There are plenty of serious issues to debate in the upcoming presidential election cycle. The less time spent dealing with specious objections to candidate eligibility, the better. Fortunately, the Constitution is refreshingly clear on these eligibility issues. To serve, an individual must be at least thirty-five years old and a “natural born Citizen.” Thirty-four and a half is not enough and, for better or worse, a naturalized citizen cannot serve. But as Congress has recognized since the Founding, a person born abroad to a U.S. citizen parent is generally a U.S. citizen from birth with no need for naturalization. And the phrase “natural born Citizen” in the Constitution encompasses all such citizens from birth. Thus, an individual born to a U.S. citizen parent — whether in California or Canada or the Canal Zone — is a U.S. citizen from birth and is fully eligible to serve as President if the people so choose.

Who knows. By the time he is old enough with our luck the laws would have probably change by then.

That rule applies to *any* title of nobility, not just royal ones. Typically all the members of the royal lineage get *some* kind of title, like Earl or Baron Something. The point of this law is to not be beholden to some foreign power, which by the time he's 35 his uncle or grandfather might be King of Great Britain.

If Charles is still around by the time George is 35 it will be a miracle lol. But yea everyone in the line will all drop down each time William and Kate have kids.

I feel for this couple and their efforts to gain a measure of privacy, especially given the tragedy of Harry's mother, and wish them all the happiness they deserve.

They drop down their lineage to the throne, but won't drop their titles unless by a monarch issuing letters patent. All of William and Kates' kids will have HRH titles therefor be Prince or Princess automatically. As sons and daughters of a duke, Harry and Meghans' kids will be titled Lord or Lady unless the Queen intervenes wirh more letters patent.

Royal_Highness
In the British monarchy the style of Royal Highness is associated with the rank of prince or princess (although this has not always applied, the notable exception being Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who was given the style in 1947 but was not formally created a British prince until 1957). This is especially important when a prince has another title such as Duke (or a princess the title of Duchess) by which he or she would usually be addressed. For instance HRH The Duke of Connaught was a prince and a member of the royal family while His Grace The Duke of Devonshire and His Grace The Duke of Abercorn are non-royal dukes and are not members of the British Royal Family, but instead are members of the British peerage.

According to letters patent issued by King George V in 1917 the sons and daughters of sovereigns and the male-line grandchildren of sovereigns are entitled to the style. It is for this reason that the daughters of the Duke of York, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie carry the HRH status, but the children of the Princess Royal, Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall do not. The children of the Earl of Wessex, at the request of the Earl and Countess of Wessex, are styled as those of an Earl, thus are Lady Louise and Lord Severn. Under his letters patent, only the oldest son of the oldest living son of the Prince of Wales was also entitled to the style but not younger sons or daughters of the oldest living son of the Prince of Wales. Queen Elizabeth IIchanged this in 2012 prior to the birth of Prince George of Cambridge so that all the children of the oldest living son of the Prince of Wales would bear the style. This returned it to the format Queen Victoria had instituted in 1898. There is no mention of younger living sons of a Prince of Wales, however, in 2018, Prince Harry was married to Meghan Markle and they were awarded Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Her title is styled as, HRH The Duchess of Sussex. If Harry were to have children while his grandmother still lives, they would simply be styled as the sons and daughters of a Duke and would not be entitled to the style Royal Highness. Once their grandfather Charles, Prince of Wales ascended to the throne, they would then, as male-line grandchildren of a sovereign, acquire the style His/Her Royal Highness.

In the United Kingdom, letters patent dated 21 August 1996 stated that the wife of a member of the royal family loses the right to the style of HRH in the event of their divorce.[5] It was for this reason that when the Prince and Princess of Wales divorced, she ceased to be Royal Highness, and was styled Diana, Princess of Wales.

Similarly, HRH The Duchess of York was restyled Sarah, Duchess of York after her divorce from HRH The Duke of York.

In December 2012, Queen Elizabeth II issued a Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm declaring "all the children of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales should have and enjoy the style, title and attribute of royal highness with the titular dignity of Prince or Princess prefixed to their Christian names or with such other titles of honour".[6] This had the effect of extending the style equally to the female-line.
