This is a great documentation about being a passenger on the SS Great Britain, the first ship ever built with iron hull and screw propulsion, designed by Isambard Brunel, completed in 1845. It had a crew of 120, passenger count of 360 and traveled from Liverpool to Melbourne 32 times, taking typically 2-3 months to cover the distance. At its time it was the most advanced ship at its time, also the biggest ocean liner and had unprecedented luxury never seen before.
