Yeah, the tables do usually have a lot going on and I could see how that would be disorienting. The original Pinball FX was released for the XBox 360 when they likely wanted flashy and to take advantage of a digital platform vs regular tables. I took a look at the games they gave you. Mars, Secrets of the Deep and Epic Quest. Those are some of their original self-made (not licensed) games. They don't have as much going on as later games so maybe that is why they picked them. Of the three, I like Epic Quest.
I took a look at the dlc, too. They really don't have that many of their games ported over to it yet, like the Star Wars and Marvel Universe ones. They have tons of those. I wonder if it's licensing issues with Disney or if they just haven't gotten around to it. Of the DLC, the Walking Dead one is okay. The Universal one is okay, but way overpriced. The season 1 has a few good ones (CastleStorm and Wild West Rampage).
People are asking why they haven't made it for Pinball FX3 as that is the newest version with new features like competing against others online, special unlocks and so forth.
I would beware on the dlc though, because they did something when they moved over to Pinball FX3. They ported over most of the tables, but not all, due to licensing I guess. Because of that, I have to have both installed if I want access to all of my tables. I could see that happening here too, when eventually they do make VR for Pinball FX3.
