The dystopian tragedy that has befallen us — and not just Americans, it’s happening everywhere — is hard to bear, but some significant good has come out of it.
For example, the solidarity of diverse resisters. Whatever divides us is subsumed by what unites us — the fight against autocracy.
And especially the emergence of so many courageous patriots willing to defend us and the constitution. As we speak, the resignation of the four line prosecutors and others before them has started a cascade — the 2000 former DOJ officials calling for Barr’s resignation, plus today the group of federal judges meeting, plus the judges in the Stone and Flynn cases saying wtf is this shit and demanding an explanation.
