Another day has arrived. 35,777 people without power as of 10:30am. We lost power last night. I've no issue with that and tbh it should have been rolling outages instead of some people without power since Monday. My only current issue is that when it came back on, my air unit (ac&heat) is not working. Reset everything I can, thermostat clicks but no rspons, not ven the fan. I'm on the standby list for a tech to come fix it but they are unable to set an appointment, time or day, which is understandable with these circumstances and there are more vulnerable people who need repairs. My concern is my elderly cat who is not a fan of the ice age. Not asking for anything but positive warm thoughts for my cat, Isis.

Been without electricity since around 230pm yesterday. Not because of a grid collapse like in Texas, but due to lines damaged by yesterday's ice storm.

I don't have it so bad though. A neighbor with a generator is letting me run a space heater and keep my phone charged. The gas station up the street has power and I filled up the car and got some hot food for lunch. The power company says electric should be back either today or tomorrow.

22,052 without power, est low tonight is 28. Hopefully there will be far less without power by sundown. No rain predicted until Sun night 20%. Life should be back to pre ice age very soon. Now maybe my stepmum will listn to my suggestions of having a generator put in, something I had ben trying to get my dad to do befor he passed on.

Highly recommend even a non-installed generator, though we got ours for Sally. Housemate couldn't sleep without a c-pap, so it got bad for him, so he got it as a business expense [since he also couldn't work with no power].

Don't worry, it's only to the car and back, on a semi-busy street, with lots of foot traffic. I also carry a phone and am surrounded by apartment buildings. I'm also not 70 yet, and winter gear is stashed in the car, including ice cleats.

I remember that freeze. It took them a year to get through the backlog and install our generator.

They're showing Beryl shooting straight along into Mexico without ever veering North. Yeh, like that's going to happen.
