The shown stuff looks promising if you ask me.
Hopefully they don't release it to soon and in the traditional half arced Linden Lab style.

I notice there are 0 or 1 av's through the video except for in the last 10 seconds. OK, it is what it is. There used to be some android app for SL that I no longer remember the name of which was rather buggy, mostly good for text chat.

Lumiya.

Its still around and works, but you have to side load it, its not in the app store anymore.

I also tried it on an "Android Desktop" once and it looks a lot like a regular viewer in that form, but it still has the touch designed controls, so everything feels weird to use with a mouse and keyboard.

I THINK there is another option for mobile currently available but it rewuires a subscription and I think its text chat only. Your Avatar basically logs in and idles at one of the creator's sims maybe with a relay or something. It had a subscription model so I never used it.

I am actually excited about that, because they are using the Unity Engine as foundation for that. Which means that they've ditched their own engine for mobile, and instead are porting Second Life to Unity.

So in the not so far away future they just might switch the PC viewer to Unity as well. This would be mostly adapting the UI then, because they nitty gritty ground work is already underway for that.
