When you dive into a big project, you need support, it doesn't work without. I mentioned before that the bodies & heads will be free on launch for 24 hours, but not only that. ALL of these amazing creators will offer their items for FREE for 24 hours AS WELL. So you will have a really really a good set of clothes / accessories / skins / hairs with your new bodies & heads from the get go. MALE & FEMALE

Hmmm. not to sure this body/head is going to take the world by storm unless the current release is juat a big IMO April Fool's joke. Body looks like a jointed paper doll, flat, kind of creepy. Pics to come after I hit the rest of the list of gifts/vendors.

Word is that this is indeed an April Fools joke but so close to releasing the actual avatar, I wonder how many will walk away after this without realizing the date?
Parthenon is in PetiteX on the left, Paperdoll in the center and right views. That is the "dark" skin for this paperdoll. No makeup or such on the paperdoll.

Well ten days have passed, no word on the actual forthcoming body/head. However plenty of notices about updates and new outfits for the cardboard avatar. However, we did get a bit of news regarding spamming the group with cardboard notices.

Some of the new releases are adult rated and that’s okay.

We can not have kids stuff advertised in the same place which is the reason why I never made a "kid Cardy" and was very happy for Toddledoo taking this on.

Kids items can be posted in their group and discord.

PMR group and discord is for Cardy & Cardo stuff + home & decor that is not kid related.

However the statement that PMR group and discord are for cardboard and home/decor makes me feel that they are not being truthful regarding a new avatar coming. Time will tell but the clock is ticking.
I'll update again as things come out about this.

Well, another 10 days have passed taking us to 20 days since the sometime in 2 weeks promise and there is no news regarding this new avatar that was toted about. The PMR group has mentions of a raffle and picking up the gifts for the cardboard avatar at the "Flat Out Fair" which is just stuff for the cardboard avatar.

So I'm going to declare the cardboard avatar was actually the new avatar as it matches 1 female body w/head, 1 male body w/head and not a new more traditional mesh body with head. The hype has already started dying off and I've not seen anyone wearing the cardboard avie in the last 10 days. No one at the FOF is wearing it either.

I will update if anything changes but I suspect that nothing will.

ETA: The cardboard avatars are now 500L each.

The paperdoll 2D avatars must have been one of the shortest ever 'must-have' crazes in SL. I saw a few people wearing them in clubs and a few snapshots appeared on Primfeed but now they seem to have been forgotten already!
