I initially had no idea what you meant, because I usually stop the video when he starts his sponsorship spiel, but I interpreted it more like, as an adult human with money, you should buy yourself some nice underwear.
I'm getting more and more touchy as I get older, especially with how the world is trying to turn back women's rights, but you're probably right - plus, men's wear company - still a serious mispeak.

Was surprised they made masks now. They do sponsored spots all over youtube and this was the first time he or anyone mentioned masks by them.

So (finally) there is a shift in the Dutch mask policy. It has been mandatory to wear them in public transportation already and as of today it is strongly recommended by the government to wear masks in public indoor spaces.
They should have made the mask use mandatory IMHO, than it can be enforced. Recommendation only will trigger discussions between pro and contra mask using groups.

I saw this shift coming and ordered enough disposable masks last week, that will get me trough for about a year. They got delivered a day later.
A run on masks started right after the government announcement, so we will likely start with a (temporary) shortage for public use.

Hell, if we could get a recommendation from our government it would be a huge step at this point.

I just try my hardest to not go out in public at all. Which I Actually don’t mind since even in the best of times, I fucking hate getting near other people anyhow.

But now I’m caring for Tigress. And moving. 🚛

Yeah, us introverts pretty much reacted to having to keep away from people with 'what did we win'. In addition to normal introversion us Finns take it to a new level. For example when I go to events at the Finnish embassy I will be trying to interact with the embassy staff as little as possible (even while having a lot in common) and they will be doung the same. This is probably why about the most indestructible phone was made there by nokia. We need them to have an excuse not to talk to other people.

And........ my yearly diabetes checkup next week with my internist has been canceled and will now only be a phone consult with my diabetic nurse.
Corona is so much fun. I haven't seen the nurse nor the doctor face to face for 9 months now.

I'm fairly introverted and we've basically been locked down since late March but in all honesty, I'm at the point where I miss my friends and family. I miss cooking for them and hanging with them. The one thing I don't miss is having to be in crowds or out with strangers. I don't miss having to travel for work either.

Yup, there is a difference between being an introvert and a hermit I guess.
I'm introverted too, but after all these months of self isolation it starts to itch here and there.
I most of all miss my voluntary work at school. I've been around kids almost my whole career. I miss them.

I just had mine, face to face with the usual diabetic nurse (I was wearing a mask and gloves, she just had gloves). She even gave me an ECG when she couldn't find my pulse, and called the doctor in to check the results* . You had to have an imminent appointment to get into the building, and the waiting room was socially-distanced, but once I was in the consulting room it was pretty much business as usual. This is in mid-Wales.

* It would appear I'm still alive, I just have very thick skin.

Since our lockdown finished at the beginning of July, I've had a regular test for something at the local hospital (postponed from March because of lockdown), a regular blood test with a practice nurse at my regular doctor's surgery, and an in-person examination with one of the doctors for something that was worrying me.

Masks for both of us, and gloves for them (as I recall). They sent me a text reminding me to wear a mask unless I was aged under 3, though I doubt they have many two-year-old patients with smartphones who can read.

It was business almost as usual in our hospitals the last months. They planned consults a bit further apart from each other, you had to declare that you are symptom free at the moment and further the usual distancing rules.
But now corona starts to ask its toll again in hospitals.
So the internists start to cancel non urgent appointments again. They are needed elswhere,
I will go to a lab tomorrow for blood and urine tests and will discuss them with the nurse next week over phone. My eyes and feet are checked by other specialists and my weight and blood pressure I can manage myself. I measure blood sugar on daily bases myself as well.
So basically a phone consult should be sufficient, unless my lab samples tell otherwise.

I've been stuck doing my doctor's visits as per normal since like June - except masks;

The one difference is usually when I say I have a sinue infection the NP looks down my throat and in my ears and this time he just gave me a prescription for antibiotics...

Then again, by now he knows me well enough to know I'm usually spot on with -those-. I get them often enough.

Mask war! Mask war! :)

Use reusable.

The possibility of a shortage may be why they didn't make it mandatory.

What would be a nice thing is if some doc put together whatever small diagnostic things lay people could use that they would want available. For example, I told my doctor I could get an apple watch or something if it provides info she could use.

Ah to finish a lockdown. We have move covidiots here so because of them we have been in a half lockdown for 6 months.
