I take it less as they are broke and more that they are cutting their losses but don't want the work done on Sansar to be a total waste. They are delusional enough to think they can still sell it? They should have before the PR desaster...
To me this reads "The Lab is broke".![]()
companies don't work that waybut don't want the work done on Sansar to be a total waste.
sounds more like a company thing to dothey are cutting their losses
Might as well be, but I would say: sell it to Trump's Space Farce as "training simulator".I wonder if this will be like when I want to sell a plot of land because I don't want to keep paying the tier but three months later nobody has bought it and I'm still paying the tier so in the end I just abandon it.
I think that would be easier and faster to do when they would start from scratch. If somebody else buys it and turns it into something like 'Second Life only better', would that be irony?
You'll have to upgrade it to allow for posting memes. And penises. We should consider pooling our money and buying this thing. We can call it VirutalSansarVerseOne (VSVO). It would be an awesome 3D forum!
I thought that doing their own engine was a HUGE mistake, and I think that has proven to be true. While Sansar does have beautiful graphics - in some cases AAA quality video game graphics, the efforts that went into reinventing the wheel could have been spent on making Sansar more compelling.I don't see them having much luck - between Unity and Unreal Engine, why reinvent the wheel? Just use one of those as a base, and build a virtual world that way...
And if they'd used the Unreal engine we could have had gibbing.I thought that doing their own engine was a HUGE mistake, and I think that has proven to be true.
