OK, so how can someone apply more than one tattoo to the tattoo layer? I apply one, then try to apply another, and it erases the first.
I was told that my alpha HUD, (Maitreya Lara), has a blend function, but not sure where to find it to even try and blend them.
Is there a way, perhaps through one of the Omega relays/Routers to apply multiple tattoos on the tattoo layer?
I did try to apply one to an underwear layer, but was unsatisfied with the result doing it that way.

You can't add more than one 'tattoo' to the tattoo layer of a mesh body like Maitreya Lara.

You CAN only really add them to the other layers of the body like you've tried. So one on the 'tattoo' layer, one on the 'underwear' layer and one on the 'clothing' layer.

You will however need to set two of those layers to 'masking' mode, and just one of the layers to 'blend' mode (this is perhaps what the person who told you to use the blend function was referring to).

You could set all three layers to 'blending' if you wish, but then you risk encountering the dreaded alpha glitch where some of your layers or parts of your layers 'disappear' .

Setting to 'masking mode' negates this problem, but the results can look very pixelated and the mode has no transparency (except for areas which are 100% transparent).

Be patient however and the 'Bakes on mesh', when it's rolled out, should hopefully make what you want to do work more effectively.

ETA: Also bear in mind that if you use all three of your layers for tattoos, then you won't be able to wear any other additional 'applier' clothing. You can only 'apply' one texture to each layer. Applying another texture to a layer will replace whatever you already have on that layer, as you have observed. You will have to wear mesh clothing over your body. Or be naked.

Other bodies, like Slink, may have a right arm tattoo so that you can indeed have two tattoos on the same layer. But Maitreya does not have that feature.

Perhaps bake-on mesh well make it possible to add more than one tattoo layer. If they ever get round to actually implementing it, that is.
