Ok, this thread is 30 seconds of my life I can never get back. What in the actual fuck? I know inflation is bad and it is hard out there for wannabe superheroes with SDE, but we had much higher quality drama in the past. This is not even Walmart store brand drama. Hell, this is not even Dollar General quality drama.

I mean ...yeah. OP is no Cathiee, or even Popstar ...that's for sure!

Honestly, if I had the RL spoons I'd start up a Corps of my own (since we're bringing the classics back):

I'm in full agreement with you there, you are absolutely right and I probably should have never come across as encouraging anyone to just blindly go there. It was more with hopes that it might give some of what I was saying credit. Woke up the next day thinking I probably could have said that all with a lot less word soup when I looked back in here.

If anyone is crazy enough to do it use an alternate account with voice off, media on a prim disabled, parcel media off, or just don't go.

So there is now a bit of infighting in The Green Lanterns:

nightingale Foxpaws the griefer "griefing" Hal Jordan (greenlantern.excelsior) the griefer, albeit pretty mildly, by putting him in boxes and using follow prims on him.

A friend and I are sitting idly by watching the drama, it is currently happening right now.

Update: A Linden showed up surprisingly fast and nightingale removed the objects from Hal. But when the Linden left he put them back.

Wow, I leave for a few days for surgery and come back home to this subpar kiwifarms crap? Sheesh. Our lovely OP seems to lack any sort of coherence as they repeatedly only capitalize Green Lantern and Griefer except when they decide to go full lower case. The 10 year old video is just sad. Like this is the sovcit type of evidence I expect to see on youtube.

So let me get this straight: foxpaws is upset that no one will join their furry nazi group and has decided to align with the lanterns. Then comes here, begging for people to join their righteous cause of mass reporting is fun because larpers. Odd your biggest claim to fame is 10 years old. I never once saw a lantern even try to report the self driving death cars that piled up on sim crossings. Never once saw a lantern report the mainland self replicating orbs of a few years back. Hell, never once saw a lantern get involved in anything actually requiring a brain cell or two.

I've dealt with griefers from day 4 in SL. Never had any actual griefing take place because of the land controls in place. I use them. I've dealt with Lindens directly as well and I would say I am 1000% more effective than the lanterns who are essentially failed superhero larpers of teenage years. You lack self restraint, professionalism and the ability to handle public relations work in a positive manner.

I would suggest you go over to the "official" SL forums and pitch your case there. Setting up a booth at SLB22 might also be a good idea.

I loved the short bit of the video I managed to watch. Nothing says awesomesauce group to join up with like a wheezing gasping for breath while online member who is showing me just how challenged he is with navigating around in his RP crime fighting tools HUDs. Seriously dude, develop some muscle memory and speed. Your reaction times are crap even for SL.

Also loved the "I left that lame assed group" cry about the lanterns while his profile is chockfull of OMG lanterns are awesome nonsense and his postings about hey everyone come join the lanterns from a day or two previous. But hey, bonus points for the lantern pick that is on abandoned land! That screams highly successful to me!

This vigilantism is all so tiresomely familiar. When will a "smells-to-coffee" maniac leak out of the main forum, I wonder. It will be frightening if we are ever confronted with something genuinely new, but fantasy-based vigilante organizations in SL are probably listed somewhere in the lapsed or disallowed trademark section of the U.S. Patent Office.

Honestly, SL could probably use a brigade of anti-Griefer 'Gleefurs' ... little flash mobs of exquisitely crafted avatars that show up run excitedly around going "This is Awesome! This is your parcel? I love what you did with this thing here, and that thing there... and your avatar! It's perfect! You're Perfect! Anyway, we gotta bounce, have a truly lovely day! *Bamf*"
