Mob bosses standing up for Trump.
Gosh, it's almost as if the state of New York saw him coming!In an email, Danielle Rhoades Ha, the senior vice president for external communications at the Times told said the judge’s decision “shows that the state’s newly amended anti-SLAPP statute can be a powerful force for protecting press freedom.”
On Friday, federal judge Lewis Kaplan denied Donald Trump's attorneys request that the E. Jean Carroll defamation trial be delayed so that Donald Trump could travel on this coming Wednesday and Thursday to his mother-in-law, Amalija Knavs', funeral. Then, on Sunday, Judge Kaplan issued a memorandum and order regarding the postponement request, providing further information regarding his denial of the request.
Recently, Donald Trump's attorney, Alina Habba, suggested that her client would like to testify in the trial. In the opinion, Kaplan called her bluff and noted that if Trump's defense wraps on Thursday, subject only to his testimony, the court would allow Trump to testify on Monday, January 22. There is no requirement that Trump testify in the case, and during the previous E. Jean Caroll defamation trial, Trump claimed he would testify, but then fled to Scotland when trial began.
Former President Donald Trump on Monday lost an experienced defense attorney from his legal roster.
Joe Tacopina told ABC News, "I withdrew on all matters."
Tacopina accompanied Trump when the former president pleaded not guilty in New York last April to charges that he falsified business records stemming from his hush payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.
Does the "L" still count if the attorney withdraws?Another one bites the dust.

But will he do the fandango?Former Donald Trump White House official Anthony Scaramucci will be campaigning for President Joe Biden in the next presidential election if comes down to him and his old boss representing both major parties.
Scaramucci infamously lasted less than two weeks as White House director of communications after he made negative comments about other administration officials that ran in the press.
On Sunday's CNN Newsroom with Jim Acosta, Scaramucci said his blip-on-the-radar time in the Trump administration is not enough to hold his loyalty in the 2024 presidential election.
"This really is going to be a battle for the democracy... [Trump's] going to expand executive power. He’s going to make things rougher for people. He has already said he’s going after his adversaries using the Department of Justice," Scaramucci said.
If Trump is the nominee, the Republican added, then it's time to "help" the Democrats elect Biden.
Will trump let him go?

Maybe they expected to be paid for their work?Oh, looks like he took Chad and the Oreo with him. So, 3 lawyers off the E. Jean Carroll defamation trial. I wonder why they might have dropped out...
Or to follow their suggestions.Maybe they expected to be paid for their work?
Nah. You'd have to be pretty damn stupid to expect Trump to pay his bills.
Conservative pundit Ann Coulter expressed her frustration with Republican Trump voters over the weekend and made the case for why she doesn’t believe the former president can beat President Joe Biden in a general election.
“How many people who voted for Biden in 2020 have since switched to Trump?” Coulter asked on X/Twitter before breaking down the electoral math as she sees it:
Coulter dropped her analysis just ahead of the Iowa Republican caucus, in which Trump is expected to win by a wide, if not historic, margin. The last Des Moines Register poll ahead of voting showed Trump with 48 percent support, while Nikki Haley is in second place with 20 percent. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was trailing in third place with 16 percent support.If there are ANY, it’s a lot fewer than:
1) those who voted for Trump but who’ve since died (older white people);
2) immigrants who turned 18 in the last 4 yrs and will vote (minorities);
3) Republicans who voted for Trump in 2020, but have since changed their minds over, e.g. his behavior in the GA runoffs, and the 2022 “red wave” —
… losing election after election for the GOP by demanding that Republicans run on the “stolen 2020 election,” e.g. Blake Masters, Kari Lake, Doug Mastriano, Adam Laxalt, Don Bolduc, Joe Kent, etc.
