Hello lovely and clever forum folk.
For all my years in SL I haven't been using shoe bases in forever as I just adjusted my hover height, but I have only just learned why it is better to use a shoebase, as this prevents adjusted hover heights from messing with furniture sits and other pose heights (duh).
So figured I need to start wearing shoe bases but the first pair of shoes I want to wear is at the wrong height, even wearing the base that comes with them. (They're nothing unusual - just a regular pair of high heel stilettos). My avi also isn't anything unusual (other than being goddam gorgeous, of course
) so not ridiculous tall Amazonian height or anything like that.
I've done a bit of research and found a tutorial that just shows the obvious stuff about editing heel and platform height of a shoe base, walking around to set the height etc.
But even with maxed out height sliders I can't set the shoes to just the right height so they're not slightly sunk into the floor.
Is this an SL limitation, or something to do with system shoe bases not working 100% with my Slink mesh body, or am I missing something else?
Ta everso xx
