How much money do you spend on SL every month?

Nothing. I made the decision to not invest in Second Life after Philip told us they planned to bulldoze our virtual "shacks on the beach" at SLCC. I have pumped a few thousand dollars back into the system from Fate Gardens profits over the years. And I still cash Khamon's premium stipend to pay his annual fee. But that's all money paid by other users, funneled through me, to help keep the project alive. Don't mind doing that but not putting one red cent into it out of pocket.

Including my premium fees, about $3-4/month. I'm aiming for $0, but not quite there yet. Between stipends and a steady trickle of store sales for a few L$15 items, I can pay for two of my three Premium accounts from my Linden balance. I've been very frugal this past year, but I never know when I'll be moved to go on a buying spree.

I used to drop 100 onto the marketplace and in-world every month. But with the advent of vendors without product permission statements, and generally so many things going no-mod, it's more moved towards 10 a month for any items. Nowadays I instead toss some of the money into a pot to pay for a cozy homestead between me and some folks, and give most Events and creators out there the middle finger instead.

...I might be grumpy.

The last thing I bought was Maitreya Lara mesh bodies for my four alts, so that month had a little spending.

I have a lifetime account, and yet for some stupid reason I still am paying tier for land I'm not using as I rarely ever sign into SL anymore. I keep swearing I'm going to downgrade (I don't want to talk about how much my tier is lol), but I keep procrastinating. it's weird that pixels and server space still manage to have history and sentimental value.

Not including the monthly Premium, anywhere between $35 and $50, $25 of that for a 4096 on an Island.

A good chunk of that is more or less due to character design or creation of new forms or form variants for my longest running Role Play character.

The most expensive of those being the recent purchase of Jake and a Lightstar head (to eventually be replaced with the Catwa head that is often pictured with Jake, Daniel).

I spend way way too much on SL. Land rents are about £100 per month. Then spending money varies between £50 - £200 per month depending on how i'm feeling.so that makes about £3600 per year... yup way too fucking much!

Would be same as others - land tier is 44$ per month, and I spent probably just under 100 quid per month depending on project I am doing. It is on me that I sell nothing in SL so ... all of that is my self-indulgence.

When we were buying the house that I hate so much, the financial advisor that mai wife was using asked “What is this ‘Second Life’ that he’s spending $100 a month on?”
That was years ago tho’. Nowadays, I spend nothing.
