What surprises me is that SL is still profitable at all.

As long as people hold land they are good. Mainland, Estate, Belli... it doesn't matter. The margins on land are more than decent for the Lab.
A lot of people still hang around IMHO, because the have invested so much in their inventories over the years.

So over time the TPV developers would more or less give up, because upstream will not be maintained any longer. And this means then that LL has the monopoly and authority over the standard client again.

You're assuming that people just don't give up on SL because the new client is totally pants.

The Moles were pretty cool, I lost track of all the warnings I got from Quartz, but if a Linden shows up, watch out. I got a one week suspension from a Linden for saying all the Lindens must have ADHD and should take some meds so that maybe just once they could finish something they started.

The best threads were the ones that went totally off topic. Of course they got shut down pretty quick, and you had to wait a few days for the next dumpster fire to start up.

I have been in Second life since 2010, and still love it as much as when I started. I'll never leave because there is no place else like it. As I said in the SL forums, I'll ride SL all the way down.

I decided when I started posting in here to avoid politics. This forum is hopelessly leftwing, I'm not jumping into that pit.
