I've been watching the Hulu series Four Weddings and a Funeral from Mindy Kaling over the summer, and fell absolutely in love with it. The finale just dropped today, and it was very satisfying.
The show initially got rather tepid reviews, but I enjoyed it from the start. It is only mildly related to the movie of the same name, but that doesn't matter. Ultimately, under any name, it is a fun, uplifting show about friendship and love. In the midst of series about suicidal teens and serial killers, it is refreshing just to have some pure escapism.
