My lifetime account gets the grandfathered stipend *and* has the badge.
Rumors are that people with said badge are allowed to step in to every lions enclosure in every zoo in the USA at whim.
For people who have a lifetime account in combination with premium plus, this free and unlimited access is (if the rumors are correct) extended to grizzly bears and Bengal tiger enclosures as well.

Reminds me of a classic Terry Pratchett quote: "All Fungi are edible. Some fungi are only edible once."

Other features include a much less intrusive option for ban lines that will only show them upon collision,
Sigh. I want an option to see ban lines from a distance again so I can steer around them in my plane.

Around 2.4% of users in October ran the 32-bit viewer at least once; however, none appear to be on 32-bit CPUs
LOL. I have a Thinkpad from 2007 which already has a 64-bit CPU. I think the only 32-bit desktop that's even vaguely current and widely used would be older Raspberry Pis.

The new release featuring the inventory preview feature is out:

The PBR update is in testing atm - not sure how far off it is but I am sure they want to get it out soon since PBR has gone live.
I'm in the middle of setting up my new PC. Of course, I waited to do SL last and now they've disabled the new 6.6.16 version on the downloads page. I can't find a 6.6.14 back version I can install. My backup is for .16, naturally.

I don't have the shakes. You have the shakes.

I went in world and went looking for mirrors and got caught up in a completely unrelated discussion in a sandbox. Try again tonight.

They are pretty easy to make, though overly complex for what could have just been a setting on material.

It is a bit buggy. I've a friend request that won't go away/close. I removed some shoes I was wearing and they went away in the inventory wear tab but were still being worn. A relog did not fix the issue. I had to manually right click on them and select remove as just trying to add/remove again added another pair to the issue.

The latest fartstorm viewer is trying to melt my GPU even with a few of the settings tweaked and just standing in a skybox with draw distance at 32m. Some colours are just washed out. I'm almost tempted to use CoolVL again instead. Almost.

There is an exposure setting in graphics now which can help a bit on some of the brightness/washed out look- I was shell shocked at first way back when i first tried it.

W.T.F.

Microsoft Edge web browser is causing problems for many… unknown reasons. Please download via a different browser like Chrome or Firefox.
I've always used Firefox as my only browser, up until my new PC kept trying to default to MS Edge, which I fucking hate. They wore me down, guys. I was so tired of redirecting it to my pref that I just gave up.

Now we do battle.

In First Look 57571 (I think it was) mirrors were just a prim setting. :(

To help reduce the performance impact generated by mirrors, only one will ever be active at a time in any given viewer
Damn, having mirrors reflecting mirrors was one of the coolest things the first time around.

Of course it does, you cannot have blingy blingy PBR goodness gifted by the Lindens to us without more load on the GPU. Much more load it seems.

Yep, turn it down to .6 or .7, that should make it look normal.

I rolled back to the previous version. Turning the exposure down to 0.5 worked for the glare but the fans were blowing like crazy. I think FS just hasn't been tested enough. The official viewer works okay but who uses that?
