Do You Stream?

I stream games I'm playing pretty regularly on Mixer (and the occasional PS4 game on Twitch), but it is mainly because Allison likes to watch games I'm playing. I do occasionally get some other people watching (including an oddly racist incident while playing Farming Simulator 2016), but I don't comment or have a cam, just my gameplay, though I do interact with the Mixer chat sometimes.

I want to start streaming from SL some but since it's on my 19 in 2019 list, I still need to figure out HOW!

Are you on a PC? I can show you how to set up OBS to stream to Mixer or Twitch, it's pretty easy once someone shows you how. Windows 10 also has native Mixer streaming, but I am not sure if it works with SL.

Thank you Cris, that would be amazing. I’m on a PC and I have the Adobe suite, and fraps paid version so far and I’m stuck. I’ll go look at your Mixer...and yes, Myficals i know not to try to put anything SL on Twitch, I was thinking Youtube because mine won’t be trolling...and then whatever Designing Worlds uses, Treet TV maybe? I do like a few SL youtubers but not that many, honestly. So I’d like to give it a go.
I’m thinking Twitch might not have any rules against Kitely though...? Or IMVU? For fashion stuff? Must check.

Wait, that's dumb, why? I guess it falls into the possibility of porn?

I really find it hard ot believe it could be because it's "not a game" because there are a lot of "not games" on Twitch.

That's precisely why they banned SL; because of the potentiality for porn/nudity outside of the streamer's ability to avoid. Funnily, SL is a still a searchable category on Twitch. If you try it though, you get zero results.

Are you sure it's not because of the number of streamers who'd just have 2 hour streams of their avatar dancing at a SL club?

As long as lots of dances cycle, she has a bangin' bod and the music is good! Harrumph!

I had tried out some streaming last year but, it never really stuck. I'm so scattered when gaming that I'd never watch me. lol

I, for a time, would stream my Overwatch matches when I was playing with a couple groups of people and we'd use our streams to review.

I grabbed OBS, again, and re-installed and was goofing around a bit this evening with settings. I may give it a go again with some of the games I'm currently knocking around in.

I would stream but don't have the upload speeds for it. I only have 2Mbps upload. I have heard that some people can stream with that much speed by some means but I haven't been able to find that info. If it's true.

Yes you should be able to do it, drop the resolution in your stream software down to something like 720x480, that should do the trick.

I am such an a-typical gamer, it might be an interesting different thing to watch for people.
I'm not some hip young cool dude, I'm an old polite lady who never swears, talks in a lovely English accent, who has been gaming since Pong but oddly enough enjoys games that involve shooting the bejeebus out of people.

I'll admit it-I stream. Usually to youtube, rarely to twitch. Mostly random games, whatever strikes my fancy at the moment. I rarely speak and don't use a webcam (it's not really useful for vr gameplay with ym desk setup as it is and the goal is to play games not have people want to claw their eyes out).
It's pretty fun, not that I ever have gotten a lot of views. Just some from when a friend or two watches. Mostly I get demonetized for thinking I can play beat saber on youtube.
