I rarely used to, but I've made a lot of changes in my bedroom in the last year. Something about this Pandemic and everything else that's happened just made me want to turn my bedroom into my "place". My own little get-away-from-the-world. I changed the decor and got some super-soft new bedding, pretty decorative pillows and gold polka-dot sheets. So to show it all off properly, even if only to myself, I now make my bed every morning. It literally takes a minute and I just love how inviting and pretty it looks when it's made.

Leaving the sheets open allows body moisture to evaporate and keep the number of microscopic cohabitants down.
Yeah but like, do that while you shower or eat breakfast or something, then come back and finish the job.

When I say 'make', I tidy the sheets, pull them back to bottom of bed for all day airing out of sheets, pillows and mattress. It all looks neat. I do the million pillows, duvet and fancy schmancy when company comes over to snoop around my house. You know, because they think they write critique articles for House and Garden.😁

Since making the bed for me consists of putting pillowcases and sheets onto the bed? No

True. Mine is pulled down then made between shower et al and getting dressed to give it sone time to air daily. It’s also sprayed with the Lysol, pillows and all, when stripped weekly for changing. Stripped airings last until afternoon but that’s okay because housework.

I have 2 matress pads, 4 sheets and 4 blankets on my bed.

Oh and one blanket for use as a blanket.

It's too comfy to make.

I've been neatening the bed every morning now for the last several weeks in case my selling agent brings people through on short notice.
This just involves putting the pillows into place and pulling the sheets & quilt up. Then I slap my big ass blanket over the top to disguise the mess and wrinkles.

I just want to share with you all that I do make my bed now most everyday (after a few hours of airing out) because my cat has let it be known that she enjoys afternoon naps near the top part of my bed, but only if I make my bed. If I don’t make the bed, she sleeps on my pillows, which I’m not too keen on. Night time sleeping is at the foot of the bed, of course.

Sometimes I think I’m the one who is the pet.
