I'm not quite sure where I should post this, but this seems a reasonable place.

Having not really written much music for years, I've recently got back into it thanks to discovering a free sequencer/synthesizer called LMMS. After playing about with it for a while I ended up starting to write some pieces vaguely inspired by places in Second Life --- so I thought I'd inflict them on you people. :devilish:

This first track isn't really inspired by anywhere specific, so I suppose it is sort of Second Life as a whole. Much like SL itself, it isn't quite as bleak and empty as it first seems...

Ok, that got a few likes, so here's another one. This one is inspired by Caledon Tanglewood and the many other forest sims in SL.

Crickets...

Nothing daunted, I shall carry on.

This next track was inspired partly by Lewis Luminos' Club Noir and partly by various cyberpunk sims.

It was a dark and stormy night...

These are all quite interesting. Noir is a wonderfully misty vision of vintage spy movies. But Tanglewood is my favourite because it's a bit of John Carpenter, jamming with Tangerine Dream, in France.

Keep up the good work! Maybe do some Tronish music. That would make the Khamon smile.

I've been working on some more tracks, but this is the only one that I've finished so far. It's inspired, obviously, by Insilico and by the other dark cyberpunk areas of SL.

Insilico
It’s been years since I was last at Insilico but this brought me back. It really captures the sense of movement or urgency I always felt there.

I seem to have missed posting this one. I'll use the SoundCloud link, as the one on my website is now out-of-date:

It seems that I missed this one. Inspired by all those wonderful steampunk mad scientists over in Caledon, and especially New Babbage.
