I think you're right, if you look at the cat on the left it's licking at nothing just before the bowl is pushed in place. It would make more sense for it to be trying to keep eating after the bowl was pulled away.

Disagree. At least my cats hook a paw over the edge before they pull something, and the muscles tense at the shoulder. The strippey cat doesn't really seem to have enough contact with the claw to hook and pull in the middle of the video.

Mind you, none of my cats would put up with this sharing bullshit, and taking a bowl leads to the Boot to the Face maneuver.
