That got me to thinking about how far back one goes before English becomes like another language. One web page defines the Middle English period as from 1066 to 1500. One text I found from the 1300s was mostly readable. Another I found from the 1200s was not at all. So somewhere around there I guess. The youtube video says it is a translation to early middle English so that makes sense.
