I was just curious if anyone else is having issues logging in with Firefox to Secondllife.com. It acts like my password is bad. One, it works in Edge and the Viewer, it also is stored in a password manager. I thought maybe some of the Ad blocking stuff I have was blocking it but I think I disabled it all testing.

I just logged in using Firefox 137.0. No ad blockers. No password manager.

I have no idea what the issues is and it's so annoyingly weird.

This affects one machine. It works on another desktop, it works on my laptop, it works on my phone.

This affects one browser on that machine. It works in Edge. I don't have Chrome installed.

It's affecting all accounts. I tried several alts.

I am just, going to sit on the problem for now I guess.

You can safely delete browsing history and cached images and files. You can also delete cookies and site data however then you will have to re-log into all the sites you're logged into on the web. These are under settings, privacy and security, delete browsing data. I found using these steps takes care of some weird chrome problems.

Just an update.

It wasn't working, still.

I disabled a bunch of random plug ins I was not really using, and it suddenly was working.

Most of these plug ins should not have had any affect. It was things like, a plug in to show if my local library carried a book when browsing Amazon, non intrusive things like that.

I didn't disable anything really related to privacy (Unlock, No Script, Crypto Miner Block, Climate change Block, Ghostery, Privacy Badger).

The most likely culprit, I had one called User Agent Switcher, which would let you change the browser's user agent. I think something just got borked in it.

It also seems to have fixed another issue I was having where most of the time of I uploaded a file somewhere, it would come out as just a bunch of weird colored lines. Most often on social media, but I was messing with ChatGPT and after uploading the image it said something like "I can't do anything with this image it just seems to be glitch art of colored lines."

I stopped using all adblockers and plugins (chrome not firebox) when youtube ignited their war against adblockers. Not because I so strongly support youtube but because I noticed changes in the software that made the adblockers cause A LOT more issues.

I have such a distaste for ads. In addition to on browser, I have a Pi Hole set up and pay for NextDNS which filters ads.

I also subscribe to ad free when I have money to spend.

Yeah, I signed up for youtube premium like a ransom payout because they successfully made it too painful to use adblockers, haha.

I've been purposefully hate watching all the ads on youtube. It's almost a cathartic purge, especially for the random mid-video longer ads.
