Just go vegan and stop worrying.Post brexit, food will be super yummy
Yeah, you are not going to get a better deal from the EU now, not that it would happen anyway. Sorry to the UK peeps but this makes 2 countries he f'ed up.Newly elected MEP Nigel Farage and his party of Brexiteers felt like they should make their presence well known during the first sitting of the European parliament by being exactly the dickheads that they are:
Of course the reason why the US doesn't have a problem with pork despite not requiring testing is that our livestock is pumped full of antibiotics. And then bleached before it gets to market.Wow... now this is just a mind boggling blow to customer's well being. This reminds me, if I should ever in this life visit the USA again, to not eat any pork meat there!
The whole reason why the Jews and Muslims don't eat pork are the trichinae; mankind back then knew that there's something special about pork, because too many got ill after eating it which didn't happen when eating cattle instead, but science back then was unable to deliver the reason why. So eating was just forbidden entirely in order to secure the health of the own people, which made perfect sense back then.
The process of testing pork for trichinae was introduced in Germany back then in 1866, after an epidemic three years before, and it worked wonders.
So what Craig Thorn is telling us is that he is shitting on the well being of his customers, and mankind should go back into ancient times where nobody cared about it. Screw him.
I dunno. The last several e coli outbreaks in the US involved produce. Jus' sayin'.Just go vegan and stop worrying.
Umm, I highly doubt race had anything to do with it. When was the last time you walked into a government office and your representative was wearing a slogan shirt, cargo shorts, and a backwards baseball cap? Even if it is business casual that means sneakers and nice jeans are ok .... however I doubt the European Parliament is the place for even business casual. Not all the new British MEPs represent Farage's Bexit Party, of course. Here is one of the Green Party's new MEPs, Magid Magid, part of the group representing Sheffield and South Yorkshire:
Black MEP claims he was asked to leave EU parliament on first day
Green party’s Magid Magid says although he is ‘visibly different’ he will not ‘try to fit in’www.theguardian.com
The European Parliament is saying it must have been an officious bystander:Umm, I highly doubt race had anything to do with it. The report goes on to explain that Majid, a very popular and charismatic young politician over here,He said the exchange said a lot about what people thought politicians were supposed to look like, and he did not leave the building.
A spokeswoman for the European Parliament said: "We investigated the matter immediately after our attention was brought to it and can safely say that no member of Parliament staff was involved."
came to Sheffield aged five from an Ethiopian refugee camp "to find a better life".
He was a contestant on Channel 4's reality show Hunted, and was elected Broomhill and Sharrow Vale Green councillor in 2016 and became the city's youngest Lord Mayor in 2018.
He went on to cause controversy when, in July 2018, he "banned" visiting US President Donald Trump from Sheffield.
Id just like to address those figures for a moment. £200bn which they are going to find by... scrapping and redirecting the foreign aid budget. Here is Farage's investment plan:
And the reason why they did turn their backs while the EU anthem was played according to him he felt taunted by the EP president that they should "stand for the anthem of another country." Which, of course in Farage's world view, is the EU.
On the other hand they are not above taking the daily allowances by the EU.
And it looks as if Mr Majid is not the only MEP to have had his bona fides questioned:The European Parliament is saying it must have been an officious bystander:

The report goes on to note thatThe European Network Against Racism (ENAR), a network of more than 160 grassroots anti-racism organisations, said the incident reflected a wider pattern in European politics: “To be successful in EU politics, you must be white.”
Last week Younus Omarjee, an MEP from the French island of Réunion, documented another alleged racist encounter. Travelling by train to Brussels, Omarjee said, he and his Congolese colleague were the only people in the carriage to be subjected to a targeted police control.
Sarah Chander, a senior advocacy officer at the ENAR, said: “Unfortunately, for people of colour in Brussels this week the issue has not been how to secure the top jobs. Instead, a number of ethnic minority MEPs have simply had to justify their right to be here.
“These incidents may seem minor to some. A snide comment here, a ‘random’ security check there. Many of the responses on Twitter were eager to deny that racism may have been a factor motivating these encounters. But these incidents are major and they are significant. They reflect a wider pattern in European politics.”
The equivalent figure for the UK is about 7.8%, or 52 MPs (if it accurately reflected UK's population it would be more like 90).The ENAR said only 5% of MEPs were people of colour and it predicted the situation was likely to worsen after Brexit.
Yeah, Joschka Fischer wore sneakers.Oh clothes for sure mean nothing. For example take this German guy, the former foreign minister Joschka Fischer with George W. Bush:
He started his political career like this in 1983, when the Green party was first time part of the German Federal Parliament:
And the full beards, long hair and wool pullovers were standard attire for the Greens back then; they really stood out that way.
BTW Fischer's sneakers are now an exhibit in a museum.
Magid Magid has some pretty cool footwear, tooYeah, Joschka Fischer wore sneakers.
And it also caused a stir, proving Kara's point.
If his shoes hadn't been controversial, then they wouldn't be in a museum now.
