Please don't leave, Sid. You are a much valued member of the VVO community, and the place certainly wouldn't be the same, at least for me and, I think, for many others, without you.

She gave the example of the department’s recent publication of analysis of the deal struck with Albania, a country with which trade was worth £45m in 2019. Trade with the EU is worth 15,000 times as much.

Sid, I won't ask you not to go because I get where you are coming from. What I will ask is that you drop in for a visit from time to time, please. Both sides of the pond need to hear from the other side or the world ends up with more echo chambers. We need less of those, not more.

But just remember that unlike Brexit, there's no legal agreement that has to be codified. You can leave, rather than Leave, and always drop back in if you're in the mood to do so.
