Hello everyone


I am Al (or Aldy to some of you call me...you know who you are )

I am a vintage 2008 avatar (so not really that old!) that joined SLU back in my mid twenties when i barely knew a thing of anything...So much that one of my first posts was "jokingly" saying that Free must be on "that time of the month" ... Yep...i dared....And booooooy .....was i ripped, deservingly i might add, into shreds without mercy or vaseline.

I wish i could say after this first attempt to communicate i became better, a more useful member of this community....buuuut no.

Let's be honest i am not a builder, a scripter, a fashionista or a griefer, i am just a "consumer". SLU for me was the Boogaloos, the Onixoo's, the Emeraldoos ( remember that one) and politics, mostly as an observer, i saw what i consider now an embryonic stage of some of today's politics discourse (not being from USA this was my first contact) and i take that as something important for me.

Eventually became a lurker and when i came to the new forum post SLU never really became active.

Now i am older, still logging to spend time on my little beach home and enjoy the good old kinks that Second Life can offer (never grew out of it) and feeling nostalgic i decided to check what was up...and here i am.

Yup, an SLU pileon taught me a thing or two about treating others with some class and decorum too!

When asked what age would I go back to if I could it's a tossup between just before I hurt another kid with permanent consequences, and 'nothing before 35 because maaaaaaaan was I stupid.'

When asked what age would I go back to if I could it's a tossup between just before I hurt another kid with permanent consequences, and 'nothing before 35 because maaaaaaaan was I stupid.'

To my defense i think i suffered a bit of culture clash and at my age and country i still live that was kind of common joke to throw around without much consequence. So the way i got trashed felt traumatic

SLU was really my first use of a more mature forum post teenage years...Before this all i had non-portuguese internet comunication was na MSN Chat channel about Anime ...where everything happened BUT chatting about anime.

LMAO, we don't need to talk about some of the stupid things I said when young and dumb and on forums early on... I've had the whole place up in pitchforks against me on a few occasions (the worst ones weren't on a SL related forum).
