Like I said, SADLY WE HAVE NOT BEEN CANCELLED.
You need to say it slower when you say it louder or foreigners will never understand you.

No, we're just in the last season of Game of Thrones. And our viewership is -pissed off-.

Is that a promise?
It's a 2 meter asteroid. It will make fireworks, but no damage.

The one you really need to worry about is 99942 Apophis, which on Friday April 13th, 2029 is expected to pass 31,000 km from Earth. That's closer than many communications satellites. If we get unlucky and a 15 kg space rock hits it just the right way, it's orbit could get shifted so it hits us. Then we get a gigaton of TNT scale impact.

Actually, we're being buzzed by a Boeing jet sized asteroid either tonight or tomorrow. Sadly, it's just skipping off the atmosphere like a flat stone over a pond.

Given the date we may as well plan on it then.

Don't Panic. 3.8 million km is not close. That's ten times farther than the Moon. The atmosphere only extends 100 km high.

Hurricane Delta has spun up to Cat 4 speed and is heading across the Gulf toward Louisiana. Warm waters, paired with cool northerly winds, were supposed to knock it down but that hasn't happened. Now the Southeast is looking at another weekend of flooding and dangerous winds.

WHAT???

Mount Kilimanjaro, which is Africa’s highest peak at nearly 6,000 metres, is on fire.

The cause of the inferno which is believed to be occurring hundreds of metres above sea level is yet to be established.

Eyewitnesses say efforts by local communities to extinguish the wild fires are underway but this is hampered by the altitude of the blaze.

The flames could easily be seen from as far as Moshi town which is some tens of kilometers away from the mountain.
