Ya got me. I don’t like Bernie because I’m afraid of socialism and I do my learn’un from the TV.
I’m not talking about you personally.

You’re talking about the group of people that agree with me politically about Sanders. If they have to be uninformed and knee-jerk to hold their opinions, what makes me different?

jfc. Are you really falling for this Bernie fourth quarter hail mary scaremongering?
It’s not something I’ve only recently noticed. I haven’t liked Biden's healthcare positions for a very long time.

You can’t deny there’s a large fraction of voters still stuck in the old trope that socialism = bad.

Now that Warren and Castro are out, and the choice is between Biden and Sanders, I’m left with Sanders. If you think everyone making that choice is some kind of deluded fan, you’re not paying attention.

We are already in the position that a lot of Dems are already holding their nose and expecting to vote Blue out of no other choice.

The way I think most Dems think about policy positions now: we are not going to get the leak in the plumbing fixed when the house is on fire.

Going to have to wait til the fire is out.
That won’t happen until we get the Senate.

Liz is clearly going to endorse Biden, and I wish she would hurry up so Bernie will just quit. We don’t need another policy debate, if people want to know about policies, there’s the internet. It is now time to put Trump in the crosshairs, not each other. Country first.

Sure, but most of them are Republicans, The people who vote in primaries tend to be a bit more politically savvy and when it comes to Democrats I doubt a significant number get all scared by the word socialism. Bernie’s biggest problem is, was, ans will always be, Bernie. He’s an asshole. A lot of people on the left don’t like voting for assholes. No socialism required.

Now that Warren and Castro are out, and the choice is between Biden and Sanders, I’m left with Sanders. If you think everyone making that choice is some kind of deluded fan, you’re not paying attention.
I didn’t say they were all deluded fans. All I did was post an article that indicates Bernie’s barking about being the voice of the lower and middle working class isn‘t true.

We are already in the position that a lot of Dems are already holding their nose and expecting to vote Blue out of no other choice.
Oh good. We’re going to do the holding our nose stuff again. I love remixes.

ETA: Oh! Look! Data! A majority of Democrats have a more positive view of socialism than they do capitalism. So we can agree that Bernie excuse is off the table. Yes?

She might be negotiating for something, such as a platform plank, which is a perfectly reasonable use of her remaining delegates.

I don’t think sleepy Biden is up to the kind of fight that’s coming. Is anybody going to make it clear he needs to start surrounding himself with a good advisory team now and start proposing some detailed ideas that differentiate him from a Republican?
I can't believe you're saying that about Joe Biden, the guy that was Obama's Vice President. Are you calling Obama a Republican? If you think that Joe Biden isn't that different from a Republican, you're living in some kind of alternate Universe.

The lack of a strong Dem ground game in so many states is a kind of concession.
Perhaps, but note that Joe Biden won states he didn't spend much money or campaign in. That means he's got money to spend in OTHER states.
Is Biden really going to stick up for Medicare and Social Security? He’s been willing to compromise.
You're asking that question about an actual Democrat? Really?
He’s been willing to compromise.
Compromise are why we have Social Security and Medicare in the first place! They were orignally anti-poverty oriented and were going to be means tested! And they were going to be funded out of general revenues, just like other anti-poverty programs were. But there wasn't enough votes! And the conservatives at the time were using "These programs are socialistic/communistic". Really. So compromises were made. Without those compromises, there would be no Social Security or Medicare at all. And probably no Medicaid either.
And compromise was how Congress worked before the Dixiecrat Neo-Confederate Wing of the Republican party got full control. Back when Bob Michel was Republican leader there was a LOT of compromise, not so much with his sucessor Newt Gingrich. In fact Bob Michel criticized Gingrich and his fellows for being more interesting in picking fights than passing laws.
And you want to know something, the most bi-partisan Republicans are still in Illinois.

It's the Bernie version of the Fox news echo chamber, Youtube and twitter.
I haven’t liked Biden's healthcare positions for a very long time.
And which positions do you not like? Be specific.

It’s not cost effective to cling to the private insurance paradigm. There’s tons of research to support this.

The era of bipartisan compromise is over and it’s not because of the Democrats. It’s because the Republicans have been taken over by the hard Right.

We are definitely at holding of nose phase when every woman and POC who had been running is out and the remaining old men both have followers more interested in being right than anything else.

I’m not trying to convince you to like Bernie, but telling the people who do that they’re misled isn’t persuasive.

Now that Warren is out, are we all supposed to ignore policy positions while we’re still in primary season and just fall in line?
That would be premature. It’s not even helpful for the general.

I think people have forgotten why he was chosen as VP. I think it is conveniently forgotten how VPs are chosen in general, but Joe Biden? That's pretty easily googlable.

If you think that Joe Biden isn't that different from a Republican, you're living in some kind of alternate Universe.
You're right. I've slipped into the alternate universe where the hair sniffing segregationist who convinced Reagan to go all in on incarceration and emphatically boasts of his four attempts to cut social security is a progressive champion.

1. Where did I call you misled for liking Bernie?
2. You just said people had to be ignorant and afraid of socialism to dislike him. Maybe don‘t rattle that glass house too hard.

Trust me, no one alive in 2016 is expecting any Bernie stans to fall in line or prioritize the country over their own petulance. We’re well aware we‘ll have to do everything without them.

Jesus Christ, it’s not 2016 any more.

Yeah, that was my point.

Also, you’ve now dodged twice when I called you on putting words in my mouth. So don’t do it again.

I'm not doing this disingenuous bullshit dance. I’m fine just not engaging you with the rest of them.

If you think everyone making that choice is some kind of deluded fan, you’re not paying attention.
