This long-debunked story still has legs on conservative/anti-LGBT Facebook pages which means it's still making it's way onto the desks of the ancient homophobes who write most state laws and making them mad; like this guy in Nebraska yesterday:

Those who think you're even stupider are the ones who really bug me.
I wouldn't know the difference. Everyone I've ever known (in RL) believes I'm stupider than they are.

I finally learned to not bother trying to convince them they were wrong and just started showing them. Must be why none of them are around me now. They don't get to use me anymore.

Gen X called it
Yep, called this at least 20 years ago. They know full well they cannot while boomers are receiving benefits because they'd face serious political repercussion, but screw future generations? They love that idea because it feeds into Americans' selfish nature and inability to think about others or past today. That was a wide brush, but more and more accurate each day.

In addition, it is the usual Republican sleight of hand: slash taxes to billionaires and corporations, then wave their hands in the air feigning DEEP concern about debt. Romney voted for every single tax cut.

Take away their tax-free status. I really wish we actually enforced that. When Trump was in office they wanted to remove the restrictions altogether.
It's clear we need A LOT more restrictions on what constitutes a tax free church. ...like if they are making much of any money, they should also be taxed.

Especially since, these days a lot of churches don't do their own charity [though they take donations for it] and instead send people to VdP society for help.... because goddess forbid they help the poor like Jeshua did.

Just when you think they couldn't possibly get any worse.

Police Find Five Fetuses in Anti-Abortion Activist’s Home (msn.com)

Police in Washington, D.C. have discovered five fetuses in the home of an anti-abortion activist, according to a statement the Metropolitan Police provided Rolling Stone on Thursday. On Wednesday, Mar. 30, around 12:30 pm, the statement said, police responded to a tip about “potential bio-hazard material” at a house in the city’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. When officers arrived, they found five fetuses inside the residence.

According to local news reports, the home was occupied by anti-abortion activist Lauren Handy. Earlier this month, Handy, who founded the anti-abortion group Mercy Missions, and eight other anti-abortion activists were indicted by a grand jury after they allegedly blocked access to a D.C. abortion clinic and livestreamed it on Facebook.

I swear, some day the Republicans will put up a fetus as a presidential candidate.
Think of it - Bush Jr was a frat boy, Trump was a spoiled toddler, by the rule of 3 our next Republican president will be in a glass jar.

Don't get rid of the fetuses! They're potential Republican presidential candidates. Think of it - Bush Jr was a frat boy, Trump was a spoiled toddler, by the rule of 3 our next Republican president will be in a glass jar, and Republicans will speak lovingly of our new 'Regent' acting for the president. We'll finally have royalty again!
Not exactly what was meant by "test tube baby" but then the GOP aren't the brightest crayons in the box.

Apparently the newly born truth teller can't even get the truth right.

EDIT:

I suspect it was more the spouses.
Nah.

I mean, it could be, but I don't think so.

My theory goes like this - when it comes down to it these claims are just typical QAnon-type Eyes-Wide-Shut fairy tales about "the degenerate elites". Cawthorn was just telling these stories because he knows the base loves to hear them, like Lenny in "Of Mice and Men". But the stories are supposed to be about Dems, and I think it really was just a moment of not thinking about his words carefully that he ended up inadvertently implying it was Republicans doing this.

I don't think it's Republicans or their wives that are now side-eyeing each other over this. I think it's that they all know VERY well how quickly, and easily, and dramatically Qbots will turn on anyone they become convinced is part of the "evil cabal", even a Republican. They know this because they've been purposefully manipulating Qbots in this exact way against Dems this whole time. So when they started getting phone calls from Qbots asking about THEM, I think House Republicans became very highly motivated to do whatever it takes to dispel those notions.
