The most awesome pie in the world (imho) called and disagreed. Derby Pie (pecan pie with chocolate and rum or burbon).

Also there's chocolate silk, but that's more like chocolate mousse on pie crust and doesn't count as far as I care.

I've never had that. It sounds yummy, though.

I make mine using a crumbled graham crackers “crust”(there’s an another thread; cracker or cookie?) and fresh fruit on top, maybe warmed in a saucer pan just before. I like the filling smooth but still firm, and not too high like you see in delis here (and New York).

On a side note, i had no idea the plural of deli was delis.

I've got some pretty awesome sandwich places in my neighborhood, but this one wins for best name....
